(02/04/25) BATON ROUGE, La. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners Library Series is back to get you ready for spring plantings.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, Kerry Hawkins will be sharing wonderful information about raised beds and container gardening. Ken Irby will follow with his experiences with irrigation. Both will be held at the Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd., at 6:30 p.m. As always, admission is free and open to the public.

Hawkins, an advanced Master Gardener, has experimented with how to improve growing conditions for plants. If you have a huge yard or only a patio, Hawkins can show you how you can become a great gardener.

Irby became a Master Gardener in 2018. He has researched and learned how easy it is to design and install inexpensive do-it-yourself irrigation systems that will suit any yard. Maybe this is the year to invest in your own irrigation system. Come and let Irby show you how easy it is.
