This club is open to 4-H members in grades 4th-8th. The 4-H Clover Kitchen Club empowers youth to build confidence, independence, and lifelong healthy habits by developing essential kitchen skills in a fun, hands-on learning environment. Through the cooking club, members will learn to prepare nutritious meals, practice kitchen safety, work as a team, and discover the joy of creating food for themselves, their families, and their communities. By the end of the program, members will have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely prepare healthy meals, make informed nutrition choices, and enjoy cooking as a valuable life skill.

The 4-H Clover Kitchen Club strives to help members:

  • Practice safe and responsible kitchen habits, including proper sanitation, food handling, and knife safety.
  • Master basic cooking techniques and kitchen skills, including measuring, mixing, chopping, baking, and cooking.
  • Understand the importance of good nutrition and making healthy food choices.
  • Learn to read, follow, and adapt recipes with confidence.
  • Become familiar with kitchen tools, equipment, and their proper use.
  • Prepare a variety of simple, nutritious dishes and snacks from start to finish.
  • Develop problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills through collaborative cooking activities.
  • Build confidence, responsibility, and independence in the kitchen.
  • Explore new foods and appreciate different cultures and cuisines.
  • Use the 4-H pledge and values to become caring, capable individuals who use their knowledge and skills to serve their families and communities.

Registration to join this club will open on September 21, 2026. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis with registration and payment.

When: The first meeting is on October 22nd at 5:30 PM and meetings will be the third Thursday of every month.
