Program Types

Under the supervision of a LSU faculty member, students are travel abroad with a group of classmates. The faculty-led programs are designed to allow students to apply their coursework outside the classroom. The program leader coordinates all academic and administrative arrangements. The majority of faculty-led programs are offered during the summer, there are few programs within the College of Agriculture that take place during the winter or spring break.

Exchange programs offer a unique opportunity to live independently abroad for a semester or an entire academic year. Students who choose an exchange program enroll into an LSU partner host institution (academic advisors ensures that credits transfer to your LSU degree program). At the end of your program, students return to LSU to complete their degrees.
