Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a program funded by the European Commission support, among other activities, international education and training opportunities for university students, faculty members, and staff. The program supports exchanges between collaborating institutions and provides funding for travel and subsistence.

While only EU universities can submit proposals to the Erasmus+ program, we have been included in proposals lead by our partner universities in Europe. To date we have participated in Erasmus+ exchanges with three European universities: Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland; Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia; and Polytechnica University of Bucharest in Romania. Additional proposals with current and new university partners are submitted annually. Opportunities for students, faculty members, and staff to travel in the Erasmus+ program are announced throughout the LSU AgCenter and College of Agriculture as they become available.

For more information, please contact erasmusplus@agcenter.lsu.edu.

The LSU AgCenter’s largest exchange partner under Erasmus is the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Due in part to the several exchanges under Erasmus, several research linkages have been established or are being explored as shown in the document accessed through this link: Compatible Research Areas between LSU AgCenter and SGGW.
