Good Beginnings (More than just nutritional benefits…)

There are many reasons to grow your own garden or even potted plants. If you have never gardened before, you have a wonderful adventure ahead of you! Health professionals constantly remind us that good health begins with good nutrition and involves getting regular exercise.

Gardening, even in small containers on an apartment patio or balcony, is a simple way of growing something that can provide more flavor and nutrition for our diets. Even if you wish to grow only flowers, the joy and beauty that even a flowering plant can bring to one’s life has been shown to be good for our life and longevity.

We hope that you will join us on this journey of gardening. This urban gardener’s handbook has been developed for You! We hope that you enjoy using it and that it helps you have great success. See you in the garden!
