Have a special talent that you would love to share with our Ascension 4-H family? Now's your chance!!! We are now accepting applications and videos for our LIVE Achievement Day talent showcase! Talents can include dancing, singing, playing an instrument, telling jokes, tricks, and much more! The date of the LIVE Achievement Day is March 31st, 2026. Talent applications and videos are due to the 4-H Office by March 10th. Applications and videos need to be emailed to cmoran@agcenter.lsu.edu. We prefer that you submit your video using an "unlisted" YouTube video. Unlisted YouTube videos are easier for the agents to access, but the video is not searchable by others. The agents will review the videos to see which talents will be asked to perform LIVE at Achievement Day. There will only be a couple of acts from each age group asked to perform due to time limitations at Achievement Day.

The talent showcase will feature acts from the following age groups:

  • Junior (4th-5th Grades)
  • Intermediate (6th-8th Grades)
  • Senior (9th-12th Grades)

Talent Showcase Guidelines:

  • The maximum video length is 4 minutes.
  • No one can submit more than 1 talent video.
  • Vocalists are encouraged to use the music-only version of their songs.
  • Maximum 8 participants. If participants are of different ages, they will be categorized by the oldest individual.
  • Any questionable or inappropriate acts will not be selected for the showcase
  • Please notify the office if you will need use of a microphone and/or CD player for the live performance. These are the only 2 items that can be provided. All other tools and equipment must be provided by the 4-H member.

Only a handful of acts will be selected for the showcase. Acts selected to perform for the LIVE Achievement Day Talent Showcase will be notified no later than one week before Achievement Day!
