4-H Day at the Capitol

4-H Day at the Capitol is back!!! It will take place on April 28, 2026. We have limited spots on a first come, first serve basis. If interested, please contact our office ASAP! We will need to initiate your registration for you!

Registration Details

  • Early Registration: Opens March 2nd and closes March 20th in 4‑H Online
  • Cost:
    • Youth: $20
    • Adults: $10 (excluding staff)
  • Lunch is included in the registration fee.
  • All youth and adults must register to attend.

Tentative Agenda

9:00 AM – Welcome & Instructions

9:30–11:45 AM – Morning Activities

  • 4‑H & FFA officers present to committees
  • Legislative visits (scheduled ahead of time)
  • Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt
  • Rotunda visit with 4‑H & FFA banners
  • Armory Tour (free admission)
  • State Museum & Old State Capitol tours (admission required)

12:00 PM – Lunch at the Pentagon

  • Opening Ceremonies – 4‑H & FFA
  • Welcome from State 4‑H & FFA Presidents
  • Welcome from LSU AgCenter Administration and Program Leaders
  • Lunch
  • Remarks from Dignitaries
  • Remarks from Donors/Sponsors
  • Closing Remarks

** A parent or guardian will be responsible for transporting participating youth to and from the event, not the 4-H Office.
