4-H Project Clubs

More information on the 3 project clubs that we offer to members. These clubs meet once a month and have limited space.

The 4-H Sewing Project Club teaches 4th - 12th grade members valuable sewing skills while giving back to those who have served our country. Members lean how to safely operate a sewing machine, work with fabrics, follow patterns, and practice quilting techniques as they create a patriotic quilt from start to finish. In partnership with the local Quilts of Valor group, completed quilts are presented to selected veterans as a symbol of appreciation and gratitude for their service. Through this hands-on service-learning project, youth develop sewing skills, creativity, patience, attention to detail, and a greater understanding of community service and citizenship.
