Healthy Communities

Our program is dedicated to improving the health, well-being, and overall quality of life for residents of Iberville Parish. We provide practical, research-based nutrition education, engaging cooking demonstrations, youth development opportunities, and initiatives focused on chronic disease prevention. Through these efforts, we help individuals and families make informed choices that support long-term health.

We also work to strengthen healthy communities by supporting policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) changes that make healthy choices easier and more accessible. By collaborating with local partners, we help create sustainable improvements in places where people live, learn, work, and play.

As part of the LSU AgCenter, we offer reliable, evidence-based resources shaped by the needs of our local community. By collaborating with schools, parish agencies, faith-based organizations, food pantries, and other partners, we bring health education directly to the places where people live, learn, work, and connect.
