My journey with the LSU AgCenter began several years ago, and those years have shaped me both professionally and personally. Working in Extension has given me the opportunity to serve the communities of Lincoln and Bienville Parishes through research-based, practical education that meets people where they are.
From day one, my mission has been clear: make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful. Whether I am leading volunteer training, hosting horticulture seminars, or organizing events, I strive to create programs that people can use immediately. Education is a lifelong pursuit, and I bring that mindset into every workshop, field day, and community event.
One of my favorite parts of Extension work is creating spaces where people feel excited to learn. From Master Gardener classes to pollinator talks, I love watching participants discover new skills, ask curious questions, and connect with one another. I believe that strong communities grow from shared experiences, and I prioritize programs that bring people together: gardening seminars, wildlife management, and anything that helps neighbors connect over learning.
My work often blends science with everyday life. I enjoy translating technical concepts into guidance that homeowners, gardeners, and producers can use right away. Helping someone understand their soil test, choosing the right amendment, or troubleshooting a garden issue is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
Working for the LSU AgCenter has given me countless opportunities to gain experience, collaborate, and serve. Balancing coursework, community programs, and event planning keeps me busy, but it also keeps me inspired. I thrive on creativity, connection, and the challenge of making each program better than the last.
Every day in Extension is an opportunity to help someone learn, solve a problem, or discover a new passion and that is what motivates me.
In my spare time, I love traveling and seeing new places! Every year we try and plan one big trip and sprinkle small ones throughout the year!
