Camps

Rapides Parish 4-H members have exciting opportunities to participate in summer programs! Youth in grades 4–6 are eligible to attend Summer Camp at Camp Grant Walker, a fun and educational experience filled with outdoor activities, teamwork, and new friendships. Camp dates are typically announced in January, allowing families to plan ahead and make payments in installments.

Members in grades 7–8 can expand their leadership and adventure skills by attending Challenge Camp and Lost Camp. High school members (grades 8–12) have the opportunity to compete at 4-H University on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge and attend the Junior Leadership Conference, where they can explore state-level leadership opportunities and enhance their personal development.
