The 2013 Rapides Parish Fair will take place at the Rapides Parish Fairgrounds, 5600 Coliseum Blvd, Alexandria, Louisiana.

The dates are Oct. 9-13, 2013. 

Entries of arts and crafts for adult, senior citizen, nursing home and 4-H divisions will take place at the Coliseum Exhibition Hall next to the coliseum on Oct. 8, 2013.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2013
8:00 am to 10 am – Enter Youth Horses (Animals will be released immediately after show)
11:00 am to 6 pm -Entry of Youth and Adult Handicrafts, Clothing, Food Preservation, Agriculture, Photography, Handicap, Nursing Home, Senior Citizen and Special School

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2013
7:30 am to 9:00 am –Entry of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Entry of Adult Cakes and Breads
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Entry of Livestock, Poultry, Rabbits, and Goats
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Release of Adult Cakes and Breads (All not picked up will be donated to the concession stand)

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2013
12:00 noon – Entry of Open Junior Beef Breeding, Goats and Swine (through Noon on Friday, October 11, 2013 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Entry of Youth Baking Exhibits

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2013
12:00 Noon – All Open Junior Beef Breeding, Goats & Swine must be in barn
1:00 p.m. -8p.m. –Entry of Open Poultry
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Release Youth Baking (All not picked up at this time will be donated to Concession Stand or disposed of) 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Entry of Open Rabbit Specialty Show

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2013
1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Registration for Pet Show
1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Registration for Dog Show
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – Registration for Open Rabbit Show
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – Registration for Open Rabbit Arts and Crafts Show, Ugliest Rabbit and Bunny Costume

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2013
7:00 a.m. –Release all livestock, poultry, and rabbits (Fair Association is not responsible for any animals left after 6:30 p.m.
5:00 p.m. – Release all exhibits in the exhibit building (Important – entry stubs are necessary to enter the building)
