Welcome to LSU AgCenter's Text Messaging Service. By opting in, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. This agreement is between you and LSU AgCenter. References to "LSU AgCenter," "we," "our," or "us" refer to Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, 101 Efferson Hall, Baton Rouge, LA 70803.

Definitions

• Opting In: Refers to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, responding to, or otherwise consenting to receive text messages through our Microsoft client.
• Text Message Service: Any arrangement where we send messages or allow text messages to be routed through our Microsoft client, to your mobile phone number, including SMS, MMS, or similar technologies.

Consenting to Text Messaging

By opting in to receive text messages from us, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. By doing so, you consent to receive recurring messages from LSU AgCenter about agricultural research, events, and educational resources, as well as individual or group messages exchanged between you, your colleagues, and stakeholders through the Microsoft Teams-based messaging platform.

E-Sign Disclosure

By agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. We use the information you provide to send and respond to your messages. This includes sharing information with platform providers, phone companies, and vendors who assist in delivering messages. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or transfer your phone number or information for profit to any third party. However, we may disclose information to comply with laws, regulations, or governmental requests, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property. This policy applies to your use of the Text Message Service and does not modify our general Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at https://www.lsuagcenter.com/privacy.

Opting In to Text Messaging

Keyword Opt-in: By texting AGCENTER to 225-578-1385, you consent to receive marketing text messages from LSU AgCenter. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.

Costs of Text Messages

We do not charge for the messages you send and receive via this service. However, message and data rates may apply based on your plan with your wireless provider.

Frequency of Text Messages

This service is for conversational communication between you, your colleagues and our stakeholders. We may send an initial message with service details. The number of messages you receive is beyond our control and will vary based on your interaction with us and stakeholders.

Opting Out of Text Messages

If you no longer wish to receive text messages from us, you may:

• Reply STOP to any messages to unsubscribe from the service.
• Alternatively, you can contact our IT department by emailing agtelecom@lsuagcenter.com calling 225-1383 to request that service is disabled.

You may receive confirmation of the opt-out request via text message.
