Mrs. Blue Rolfes has been a community advocate for 4-H since 1978. As a news anchor, she has worked tirelessly to establish routine news spots for 4-H and other special programs. Blue and her news team KLFY received the ESP Friend of Extension Award for their efforts in establishing network programs that afforded 4-H members numerous opportunities. In doing so, she helped to establish a career readiness program called KLFY Teen Reporter and partnered with 4-H to recruit participants. Additionally, Blue was instrumental in involving the Acadiana Area 4-H program in the annual Food for Families drive, as well as the annual MDA Labor Day telethon. Blue has received numerous community and professional-based awards due to her many contributions to 4-H.
