Dr. Giovanna Aita attended the ISSCT Co-Products Workshop held September 15–20, 2024, in St. Gilles, Réunion Island. The theme of the workshop was “The Smart Sugarcane Biorefinery: Full Valorization of Co-Products for a Sustainable Future.” Dr. Aita presented on the “Synthesis and Applications of Nanoparticles,” chaired the session “Co-Products in the New Millennium,” and participated in the panel discussion “The Future of Co-Products.” The event brought together global experts to share advances in co-product utilization and promote circular economy practices in the sugarcane industry.
