The 5th Annual Delta Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale was held Saturday April 11th, 2026 at the Northeast Research Station from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Plant offerings included Louisiana Super Plants, bedding plants, perennials, herbs, vegetable transplants, indoor plants, native plants, and seed packets from the North Louisiana Seed Preservation Program. Most of the plants available at the annual sale are grown from seed by the volunteers, who meet in February for their annual Seed Starting Day to kick off the plant sale season. Other plants available are grown by volunteers from cuttings or divisions. This is a major fundraiser and event for the Delta Master Gardeners where they can put their expertise to work for the community. All proceeds benefit current and future Delta Master Gardener events and projects as well as other horticulture extension programs in the area led by their coordinator and area Horticulture Agent, Marcie Wilson.
