Dr. Stephania Imbachi Ordonez and Dr. Ricardo Carcamo, newly appointed Assistant Professor at the Audubon Sugar Institute, attended the Land‑Grant Summit titled “Partners in Progress: Advancing the Land‑Grant Mission Through Collaboration and Innovation,” held in December 2025 at LSU.

They participated in sessions related to artificial intelligence, innovation, and applications relevant to sugar manufacturing, with a focus on emerging technologies that can enhance research, extension, and industry engagement.

The summit brought together faculty, researchers, and administrators from land‑grant institutions to foster collaboration, share best practices, and explore innovative tools supporting agriculture and food systems.
