ASI Researchers Present Enzyme Performance and Crystallization Studies at Louisiana ASSCT Meeting

Researchers from the Audubon Sugar Institute presented at the Louisiana Division of the American Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ASSCT) meeting held February 2–4, 2026, at the L’Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Ms. Alexa Triplett and Dr. Gillian Eggleston presented results from factory trials in a talk titled “How Premira (Commercial) Enzyme Performed at Louisiana Factories During 2025,” discussing enzyme performance and its impact on factory operations.

In addition, Dr. Ricardo Carcamo and Dr. Stephania Imbachi Ordonez presented “Observations Leading to Improvements in Crystallization at Louisiana Factories in 2025.” Their presentation highlighted operational insights and improvements observed across Louisiana sugar factories.

These presentations reflect ASI’s continued engagement with industry partners and its role in advancing practical solutions for sugar manufacturing.
