Members will learn important outdoor survival skills including: aquatic education, canoeing/kayaking, backpacking and outdoor cooking techniques. Classes will be offered once a month. Groups will be divided by age and grade.

Grades: 7th-12th
Teens will experience fun, challenging, hands on experience through social media and technology. Youth will develop presentations skills while learning marketing, video production and script-writing techniques. Youth will create videos and advertisements that will be used for club meetings and parish activities.
Teens meet once a month to participate in community service projects, games and networking with members from across our parish. Jr. Leaders are responsible for hosting 4-H Dance, serving as AgMagic tour guides at State Fair and participating in trips within the northwest region and out of state. Fee is $20 which includes a Jr. Leader t-shirt.
The Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports program is an educational activity to teach firearm safety to 4-H youth and to help them enjoy outdoor activities.
Shooting Sports Instructors are meeting to finalize details for our 2020-2021 season. Due to new Covid-19 guidelines participant numbers and practice sizes will be limited. Jackson Parish will offer Archer, .22 Rifle and Shotgun this year. Shooting Sports fee will remain $35 and include a parish t-shirt. Please check back for updated information.
