Dr Qinglin Wu, a professor in forest products, was named one of the most influential researchers in the world by Clarivate Analytics’ 2024 list of Highly Cited Researchers. The annual Highly cited Researchers list identifies scientists who are among the top 1% of researchers in their field based on citations in the Web of Science database in the past decade. As of 2024, 2,507 researchers in the United States have been honored. Wu works in a dynamic field dealing with sustainable micro/nano material technologies and the conversion of low-quality wood and other biomass into high-performance materials including composites, batteries, drilling fluids, hydrogel and concrete additives. He and his collaborators have over 400 publications that have been cited over 27,000 times.
