4H University will be June 20-23, 2017 at LSU. Students who are 13 years of age or older as of January 1, 2017 are invited. Teens will be spending the nights in the LSU dorms and attending contests, programs, educational field trips, dances and other fun activities. All transportation is provided. Attached is the 4-HU registration form and clover college ranking form. Deadline to submit these forms is May 15, 2017.

 

Free Fishing Camp

5th Annual Fishing camp will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 for ages 8-15 years old. The Fishing Camp will be at Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch (Norco) US 611 at East Levee Spillway. Fishing poles and bait provided. Attached is the registration form, medical consent and liability form and an informational sheet.

LOST Camp

LOST Camp will be July 30-August 2, 2017 at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, Louisiana.

4-H’ers in 7^th-8^th grade as of May 2017 can attend. The cost of the camp is $150.00. The registration form is attached and needs to be turned in by June 1, 2017

LCAAA Scholarship 5-1-17pdf

LCAAA 4-H Scholarship (Guidelines and Criteria).

• Application must be submitted by the deadline of Friday, May 19, 2017.
• This is a one-time $500 scholarship.
• Scholarship is open to all current 4-H members. Current and Lifetime LCAAA member’s children and grandchildren will receive additional points.
• Must be a high school senior when applying
• The scholarship is for any college in Louisiana.
• The scholarship is for any field of study. Applicants majoring in Agriculture will receive additional points.
• 4-H agents can submit more than one applicant per parish.
• A letter of recommendation for the 4-H agent must accompany each application form.
• The scholarship search committee, consisting of LCAAA members, will select the best candidate.
• The recipient will have to show proof of completion of one semester or quarter with a 2.0 or better GPA and proof of re-enrollment in school before being awarded the money in the spring of 2018.
• Applicants may only receive one of the LCAAA scholarships.

 

Marsh Maneuvers

A camp for those students which have completed 10-12 grade. It takes place during the month of July. Only have to attend one week out of the month. Only 2 boys and 2 girls, juniors or seniors can attend from the parish. An informational sheet is attached if any Junior or Senior wants to attend, remember I can only take 2 boys and 2 girls. Let me know as soon as possible.
