The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day was held at the Louisiana State Cotton Museum. This event is dedicated to enhancing farm, ranch, and rural life safety for children and their communities through educational initiatives. 5th grade students from East Carroll received safety training from professionals in various fields including ATV safety from Farm Bureau, Grain safety from Viserion Grain, Seatbelt safety from the Louisiana State Police, PTO safety from Goldman Equipment, Boating and Water safety from the Army Corps of Engineers, Electrical safety from Northeast Louisiana Power Cooperative (NELPCO), Fire safety from the Town of Lake Providence, and Pedestrian safety.
